I found the following comic strip in Robert Scoble‘s Google-Reader shared items this morning. I though it was worth sharing:

  1. Perfect! I have been saying this for some time now to my students. I even posted a blog about “Why I won’t own an I-pod”. But this is so much more creative than my boring blog post! (lcandjb.blogspot.com)

  4. Well i have had the iphone and now am wanting the blackjackII. I don’t use the features provided by the iphone enough. I would do well with a seperate ipod(just for movies really). One thing I hated about the iphone was the touch screen always coming up when I was on a call. my cheek would hit it and would always end up pushing some button. I have had phones with all the gadgets nnow I just want a really good phone!!

  5. I just got the blackjack II and it is a great phone for the money. After my $100 rebate it cost me $100 bucks compared to the iphone $400. I don’t think the few extra features of the iphone are worth $300. Plus the blackjack II comes with GPS

  6. Hi, I am getting ready to get rid of Sprint (THANK GOD!!!) and my boyfriend and I went into the AT&T store. At first I wanted an iPhone like my boyfriend but after seeing the BlackJack II I changed my mind. The guy even told me I can take the phone as a trial basis just to see if I will be satisified with it. I feel in love with that phone and I can’t wait to get it!!! My boyfriend still thinks there is no other phone better than the iPhone but I just don’t like the touch screen, its annoying!!!

  7. I keep hearing about how the Blackjack is better than the iphone, but from what i’m reading, its more expensive. I mean sure, you pay less for the phone, but the monthly service is more expensive….

  8. tuneman, the service is more expensive because its much more powerful. With a blackjack or BJ II you are able to tether your computer to your phone and provide an internet connection somewhere between dial up and broadband to the computer. This wouldn’t even be worthwhile on an iPhone due to the lack of 3G. My Blackjack was starting to feel boring after a year of use, but I just upgraded to Windows Mobile 6 and I have absolutely no reason to look for a different phone.

To give an idea of the 3G performance: I regularly stream video content straight from my home PC into my Blackjack with a free server called orb. The BJ II has faster 3G support, as well as the ability to take an 8 GB microSD card.
