Zoho Meeting – Beta release – today

with one comment

Today, Zoho released a press statement that introduced Zoho Meetings. This announcement comes at a time where the competition in the Online Office App market continues to heat up dramatically.

The key features include (from Techcrunch):

  • lets each member view and remotely control the host’s desktop, chat, add participants, email the host, and view meeting details
  • Sessions can recorded and downloaded by users (AVI format, Flash coming soon)
  • Chat is handled with Zoho chat, which will soon have VOIP capability
  • Zoho Meeting is going to be a very compelling choice for online demonstrations

Zoho Meeting can work across Mac, Windows, and Linux machines because it works with ActiveX (Windows only), Java, and Flash – making it a great choice for cross-platform collaboration needs.

Check out this video released by Zoho today, explaining some of the awesome new features:

  1. Good to know.

Another good one is the Yugma service at https://www.yugma.com. You get web conferencing and desktop sharing for free, forever!!! Invite up to 10 other people (repeat 10!). Change presenters. Works on Mac and Windows with Free voice conference bridge.

It’s fast, easy, and best of all it’s free forever. I really like it. Check it out.
